First we ought to differentiate between homosexual and heterosexual paedophiles.
Among homosexual men, there appears to be a substantial number with a clear preference for boys as opposed to men. Actually, much of the classic Greek and Roman literature dealing with male homosexuality refers to the sexual love of youngsters. Homosexual paedophilia appears to be an orientation, not a learned behavior.
This paedophilia is not the topic of this article.
Rather, I want to deal with the paedophilia of heterosexual men who start out being attracted to adult women, and then aim for ever younger females.
This kind of paedophilia is much more a learned behavior (which can be unlearned) than the homosexual paedophilia.
The heterosexual paedophilia, in my observation, tends to develop in men with a lot of traditional Asian access to sexual gratifications. Which means, as a man, you pay for it.
Men pay for sexual gratifications either by making use of the services of prostitutes, or by buying wives.
The female partner in such relationships, whether a prostitute or a bought wife, typically simply provides a service, and doesn't join the sexual activity because of own desire.
This attitude causes a feedback loop, affecting the involved man negatively. This negative feedback is all the stronger, the more experienced the female service provider is. As an extreme example, if the female service provider (a prostitute) continues watching television while parting her legs (so that a man can do his business), the man obtaining this service will also get bored.
On the other hand, if the female is new to the business (and usually, this means that she is relatively young), she will likely be nervous. That's at least an emotional something, though it's by far not as good as having sex with a female who herself has a pronounced desire to achieve a climax and acts accordingly.
It's just that you as a man, cannot have this kind of sex, if the woman is only attracted to the financial benefits of providing a sexual service.
I don't pay for sex, and it's not because I wouldn't have the money. Anyway, paying for sex is much cheaper than the alternative solution: working on yourself so that women want to be in sexual contact because they consider you sexually attractive.
Men who develop paedophile tendencies in Southeast Asia usually belong to the category of men who have been paying for sex all along through many years, or even several decades. But they no longer get satisfaction out of sexual contact with normal prostitutes.
Their response, then, is to seek ever younger prostitutes, until they arrive at those who are underage.
What these men typically are not aware off is, that there are better (and legal) alternatives to experience sexual thrill, without turning to the paid services of ever younger prostitutes.
What they need to experience are women with a profound sexual interest themselves, not women who provide sexual services for financial benefits.
