Bangkok - Surat Thani
Thai Airways has three daily direct flights from Bangkok to Surat Thani. There is one departure in the early morning, one around noon and one in the early evening. The last train departing from Bangkok at 21:55 (actually a Diesel rail car) is the fastest, taking just 9hrs and arriving conveniently. Fares (excluding charges for rapid, express trains, aircon or sleeper) are 107 Baht for 3rd class, 224 Baht for 2nd class and 470 Baht for 1st class. The rail distance is 651km.
