Hat Yai offers good buys in Thai handicrafts, ready-made leisure and sportswear, preserved Thai fruits and seafood delicacies. Hat Yai’s principal shopping areas are the Niphat-Uthit 2 & 3 Roads, Sanehanuson Road and the Plaza Market.

Movie theaters have showings daily, mostly at 12:00, 19:00 and 21:00. Original English sound-track rooms are available at Siam Theater, Chaloem Thai Theater, Coliseum Theater and Hat Yai Rama Theater.
